I think it’s only underrated because of how badly it did in theaters. If it hadn’t been up against Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, and if its marketing had been better too, it probably would have done much better. In all other aspects, though, I think it is as loved as any other Disney movie, even if less people are aware of how beautiful this movie really is.
I’m glad you like this blog! This is proof that Treasure Planet is loved and appreciated.
Thank you so much! But I disagree, I think the love it gets from all of its loyal fans, small though the fandom may be, makes up the difference between it and the love any other big Disney movie receives.
We are some fierce, Treasure Planet loving people after all!
Even though I don’t take submissions, this made me really want to do that one now…
So, I guess, thank you for the love and the idea!
(Sorry if this took so long for me to answer.)
I don’t know that we’ll be having another party anytime soon. My computer couldn’t handle the livestream very well, and I’ve become very busy very quickly since school has started up again (thus the lack of LTPT).
But, that doesn’t rule it out completely! We’ll just have to see, won’t we? The lure of Jim’s Swag might be too strong to resist. XD
